The 'Greatest Live Hits of the 50s' by
MRS is a 24 track CD and is the most varied Elvis Presley 1950s live concert recordings CD compilation to date, containing only the best live performances, making the ultimate live set list of the 1950's. It has 8 new live tracks that have all been re-mastered and are now significantly and noticeably improved, than before. The CD also contains for the first time, an unreleased live version of 'I Forgot to Remember to Forget' from October 1955. The engineer used on this CD is the same engineer that was used on the '77 Orlando Show from the 'The Final Curtain' set from last year and we all heard the amazing transformation he did on that! You can now listen to a sample of the remastered sound and the dramatic improvement in sound quality achieved by MRS via the link below ...
Sound samples
In the first sample below we have a back to back comparison of Little Mama : First up is 23 seconds of the version from the FTD box set, A Boy From Tupelo, then a fade and into 38 seconds of the remastered MRS version. You will be able to hear a very clear improvement. Then we have audio comparisons of the new song, I Forgot To Remember To Forget, speed corrected and with a clever overdub of Bill Black’s playing from the original studio master to give the song an extra boost : here it sounds great, on a proper hi-fi, unbelievable.
